Our investment banking division Client Solutions serves all our regions and is comprised of three excellent product factories: Corporate Solutions delivers tailored solutions in advisory, financing, risk management, trade and working capital for our corporate clients; Individual Solutions ensures a rich offering of investment and protection products for individuals; whilst Group Payments Solutions supports corporates, financial institutions, and individual customers in all their payments and liquidity management needs.

Within Advisory & Financing Solutions, Equity Capital Markets offers a unique and fully-fledged platform for the entire range of equity solutions which include among others: Initial Public Offerings, follow-on equity raisings via accelerated placings or rights issues, block trades complemented by equity-linked products and derivative solutions. The ECM team based in Munich covers corporate clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Through our strategic alliance with Kepler Cheuvreux, we offer our clients one of the largest equity platforms in Europe.

What you'll be doing

Tasks and responsibilities as a Trainee in the Equity Capital Markets team include:

• Drafting and preparation of client and marketing presentations for equity capital markets transactions
• Understanding of ECM instruments such as IPOs, share placements, capital increases, convertible and exchangeable bonds, share buybacks
• Ongoing research & analysis of current capital markets developments, deal flow and preparation of respective marketing materials
• In cooperation with Advisory, working on industry analysis, competitive financial benchmarking and company valuations
• Preparation and review of transaction specific documents (marketing, due diligence materials, timetables, etc.)
• Participation in due diligence meetings and support on respective deal related sub-projects

What you'll need to succeed

You also match with the following requirements:

• You are in the final stages of your master's degree in business administration, finance or economics with good/very good academic results (MBA, CFA is a plus), or you have completed your studies within the last 2 years
  
• Preferably prior experience in investment banking in ECM
• Ideally knowledge of ECM databases, Bloomberg and Dealogic
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, corporate finance & accounting skills
  
• Special knowledge and reliability according to § 87 (2) WpHG (2. FiMANoG) and § 1a and § 6 WpHGMaAnzV
  
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver on-time & on-quality
• Confident and assertive conduct vis-à-vis clients & partners
• Willing to accept and master new challenges regularly
• Hard-working and motivated to "make a difference"
• Strong team player
• Excellent MS Office skills (esp. Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  
• Fluent English and German
